how did you attach the antlers? Never used a reproduction skull

the skull was slotted , i cut a shed cap down to fit in the slot, screwed it in, used fix it to build everthing up and blended it in with the skull glued antlers to shed cap with 5 min epoxy
first one i have ever done maybe some one can tell us a betterway ??
