I am ready!!! I have enjoyed being a member of the taxidermy insider. The pheasant video is great. I just need a couple pheasants now. 🙂 Even though I am not into doing fish I found the various fish video’s very informative. Anxiously awaiting the turkey video.

Working at filming the mounting process on the Full Strut Turkey Course. Now that we have the footage, we just need to edit it and ad it to the Insider website ! Look for the completed turkey course over the next two weeks !
When I picked out the turkey for this course, I could have picked out a flawless 24lb Merriam’s, but I didn’t. I wanted to film what most people take in and have to deal with. This bird had quite a few problems , and we took you through each step on how to deal with them.
Some of the issues we dealt with in the course:
– The bird was 19 to 20 lb–a tough weight to size a good form to.Also the average good sized turkey most taxidermists take in.
– Triple bone fracture on right wing
– Severely deformed leg
– Considerable shot/harvest damage on right side
– Very large head for weight of bird
– Shot damage on head and beak
