Those of you who have used both ammonium and potassium alum. Do they both have good stretch. Does one mount up better than the other?

They both work fine for taxidermy purposes. I would say 99% of taxidermist would not know the difference in the two. Your stretch will have, not all, but a lot to do with the shaving job.

Don’t forget to neutralize after the tan, not before. This would be considered a submersible and not a paint on tan, so the process is a little different.
