Hi,
I have owned my own tannery for ten years now. My main focus is custom tanning for clients. I am from South Africa so none of my chemical names will mean anything to you!
I have hairloss problems with spiral horned animals and am just wondering what other tanners do to lessen the affects of hairloss. Will a chemical work such as Aluminum Sulphate in the wetting back process to “pretan” the skin?
I wetback currently with a bactericide, salt, degreaser and formalin. My pickle contains salt, Aluminum Sulphate, degreaser, formic and sulphuric acid.
Please help.
Liz
