I have watched a couple videos on pressure washing and plan to purchase one in short order. My questions is regarding using it on bears. I have done a couple heads and have a lifesize skin in my freezer that I shaved on my fleshing machine. (All were home tanned) I degreased them with tannery degreaser and epo grip degreaser (separate steps) and did a final wash in dawn. It appeared to work. How well will a pressure washer remove the grease from a bear hide? Will there still be lots of grease on the bear that I still need to go through these steps? I am not going to sent it out to a tannery. If I were in the business I would probably send it out but since I am only a hobbyist I am in no hurry. Thanks for any information on your experience of trying this.

I think I have this narrowed down to a Simpson Mega Shot 3100. I really don’t see needing a unit that needs more than 3100 PSI. Feel free to comment if you think I should get a larger unit. I would rather go larger now than replace later!

1) Does anyone have this model (or another Simpson) that can give me a first hand review?
2) On the video’s I watched they used a head that “rotated” to help blast off the flesh and fat. I have tried to find this head but I have no idea what it is called officially and have had no luck finding it under a search of pressure washer accessories or nozzles. Any help on this would be appreciated.
