I traded a fox pelt that has an odd tan done to it. Since there is visible sinew it seems like the fleshing stage was skipped. Does anyone have advice on if I can recover this pelt and use it for a reenacting costume?

You might as well just start the whole process over again, it was neither done well or correctly the first time, you really have nothing to work with as it is.
