compared to traditional tanning how does taxi-tan 581 work? I not sure which tanning solution to use. can anyone give me an idea? I’m new at this.

Depends on what you are looking to do and what you are tanning. A little more info would help someone answer your questions more accurately.

TT 581 will work fine for these skins. The boar, you would need to add a couple of degreasing steps to the original instructions.

Now, as far as what I would prefer, HQ 5000 is hard to beat. If you follow the directions as they are written, you will get the closest thing to a commercial wet tan, out of a bottle, from in shop tanning, as you can get.
