OfflineI just made my first tumbler now to learn how to do it. My questions are how long do they tumble and how much saw dust to use. Im having alot of issues with my capes shrinking and have heard this will help with that. Capes ive bought from tannerys that have been tumbled seem to be alot easier to shave. So figured id give it a shot. Thanks in advance

I’m a little confused….are you wanting to tumble the capes in sawdust before you shave them?
And are you doing wet? If so they do not need to be tumbled in sawdust at all.

Offlineive been wondering abought a tumbler to use to make a solft pelt, I was thinking it mite take 3-4″ smooth stones. ive never heard of that but ive read abought saw dust and I thought that was to dry birds skins. Is it possible to use a tumbler to solften hides? would make it easier for sure.
