I might could catch you one this weekend. Does it have to be exactly 2 1/2 pounds ?
I’ll see what I can do, I was planning on taking my little girl fishin this weekend. If you ever need any bigger ones I catch/release quite a few in the spring when I’m not chasin thunder chickens. We have a private lake where I live that only allows electric motors and in the spring it’s off the chain. Not uncommon to catch 2 or 3 over 8lbs in a day. If it’s over 3lbs. could you still use it ?

yeah, but if you get one close to that I could use it for a replacement. I sent one to wholesaler and it got lost somehow.
10-4 I’ll see what I can do. Now that I’m on a mission it’ll be like going out to kill a doe and all you see is young bucks having a party around your stand.

You are absolutely right Kevin. It’s the last one they will get from me. I have sent them many fish over the past 25 years, and in my opinion they treated me pretty shitty on this deal. Have you got one you can just skin and mount for me. I’ll do the finish work. Or if Donnie G. gets one he can send it straight to you and then you to me. I just know I got to replace this fish and fairly soon.

No D, I don’t have any in the freezer as of now. If Donnie gets one, he can send it to me for you.

Had a customer picking up a deer this morning. Going to try to go this afternoon when it cools down some and in the morning. Trolling motor battery is charged up and ready to rock.

Most of the rain has moved out,headed back out to the lake in a few minutes. Got caught out on the lake yesterday in a gully washer. Bad thing about a trolling motor is all you can do is hunker down and putter along back to the ramp. Oh well like the old saying a bad day on the lake beats a good day at work.
D how much time do you have ? Fell short today,caught one just shy of 2 pounds and lost a good fish. Hard fishing out of a john boat in 20 mph. winds. After this storm moves on out I should be able to go a few times after work this week and next weekend. Should be able to get one by then,it was a bad weekend with T/S Lee moving through. We are just on the eastern edge and have been under warnings for two days now.
