I was wondering if you folks could help me out. I recently bought a nice little tanned lifesize Tommy Gazelle from Dave at Western Wildlife Art Studio, which has some minor hair loss issues on the lower end of its face.

So my question is … does anyone have an extra odd Thomson Gazelle face laying around? I don’t need an entire cape, just a head or face skin from a cape that was bad, but has a salvageable face skin.

If not a Tommy, then would you have the face or head skin of a Gemsbok?

I could even possibly use the face of a Corsican Ram … maybe!

What I need is enough white and black or blackish brown hairs to transfer to the Tommy after it is mounted. It is a great little specimen that should mount up well, and I would rather transplant/transfer hair instead of simply painting out the problem.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Take care,
John.
